Anyone who knows me Knows I have a soft spot for the Children’s Hospital.
All year long I continually buy & collect coloring books and crayons. We package a coloring book with a box of crayons and a little Get Well Soon Note!
Friends & Family are also so willing to get involved and help me, I am forever grateful for the Amazing people who are always randomly collecting Coloring Books and Crayons for me!!
We were able to provide Broward Health/Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital with a couple hundred packages in March 2017 through the wonderful Child Life Team!!
The coolest part was Ms. Brooklyn was in the hospital a few days after our visit. When her GI came out of the OR to speak to us in recovery she said “Wow I heard about your donation, that is Amazing and brought so many smiles to Children, Parents and staff alike”.
That right there makes it all worth it, to know the smiles spread.
I hope we inspire you to go out and give back in any way shape or form and include your kids to get involved!

What an awesome idea! I love that you do this – AND that I happen to have a Children’s Hospital nearby. I’ll have to look into doing something like this; it would be a great way to give back after all they’ve done for my daughters over the years.

I LOVE this idea. It’s so simple but SO effective. My son was in the hospital for a severe asthma attack but the thing that made him happy was coloring.

This is wonderful! My sister spent much of her young childhood in the hospital and this brings back memories of the sweet donations she would get occasionally. They really perked her up. Thank you for what you are doing.

What a sweet initiative. Even adult patients will be delighted seeing colors to bring back their glow.

We’ve done things like this, mostly with wounded warriors and deployed soldiers. This is an excellent way to show our kids how to be empathetic and give back.

What a beautiful idea. I’m sure these coloring books cheered the children up. They’re going through so much and little joy like this are good.

That’s so cool the care package you sent to the hospital. It looks like it was awesome and I am sure the kids appreciated it. I know my daughter has loved those sorts of things whenever she has been in the hospital.
