Road Trip time! We decided to head to the Gulf side of Florida to check out Tradewinds Resort on St Pete Beach!
Not bad, only a 4 hour car ride from our home and we were on white sand beaches with clear blue water.
The beaches on the Gulf side seem to be much cleaner than some of the beaches we have in South Florida. Sunsets on the West coast are better too oh course!
When we got to Tradewinds the weather was horrible, pouring rain and lightening. Thankfully after the storm passed the weekend weather shaped up pretty nicely!
Tradewinds is made up of Two Resorts : Island Grand and Guy Harvey Outpost. We stayed in the Island Grand Tower with a beautiful view overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. What an Amazing view to wake up to in the morning!
What Amenities does the hotel have to offer you ask… Paddleboats, Mini Golf, Numerous Pools, Beach Chairs & Cabanas, Jet Ski Rental, Movies by the pool, Firepit, Pool Bar & Grill, Hammocks, Kids Club, Beautiful Swans you can feed, 15,750 Sw Ft floating Ocean Water Park, Tennis Courts, 3 Story Blow up Slide, a spa and so much more!
We rented Jet Ski’s, enjoyed the free paddleboat and the 3 story water slide! We also got good use of the pools and enjoyed movies by the pool at night! Let me just tell you the water slide is so much fun, you have to try it! Learn more about all the slides Here!
Once we parked the car, we didn’t leave the resort once. Between both hotels there is 14 different dining options, as well as a gift shop full of snacks and a small deli in the gift shop as well. We really enjoyed Bermuda’s Steak and Seafood and the Flying Bridge.
