We received admission to LEGOLAND Florida in exchange for an honest review!
For the past few years I have been avoiding theme parks with my kids. Yes, they are fun, but they are always so much work when the kids are almost five years apart in age. One wants to go on a ride the other one isn’t tall enough for, or the younger one wants to ride a ride that is too babyish for the older one. Lets not mention trying to navigate a stroller through a crowded theme park or carrying a sweaty preschooler around! Now that they are 7 & almost 12 I decided to start researching theme park options.
This summer we decided to give Legoland Florida a try now that the kids are older and taller.
My youngest is really into all the girl themed lego sets so I figured she would really enjoy Legoland.
She really liked looking at all the giant lego sculptures on display throughout the park!
She must have said take my picture with this one a hundred times!
The day worked out perfect and we had so much fun riding all the big rides TOGETHER!
No one had to sit out and wait with the younger one, she was finally tall enough and brave enough for every rollercoaster! We rode a wooden rollercoaster, a flying ride and oh course after seeing the commercials over and over we had to try out the new Ninjago ride! Ninjago was awesome and was a nice air conditioned break from the summer heat! Our favorite ride was Dragon coaster.
We really enjoyed Legoland, I felt the crowds were just perfect as it was not as busy as I remember the theme parks being.
The sun was beating and the weather was hot as heck but Legoland does allow you to bring in your own snacks and drinks so I made sure to pack plenty of water and juice in my backpack. We also took advantage of the snack carts around the park and enjoyed some ice cream, nachos and a soft pretzel!
**Mom Tip : Don’t forget to lather on the sunscreen throughout the day **
Another really cool part of Legoland is the mini cities. This is a walk through area with giant lego sculptures made to look like places such as New York City, the Golden Gate Bridge, Las Vegas and they even have a Star Wars section. Make sure to make time to stroll through this area. We really enjoyed seeing all the detail in each and every lego sculpture. The big question with my youngest was who has the job to build all these legos? Daddy says a machine does it, but she has a vision of a room full of Lego Builders, Maybe we will never know the answer to that question!
Another thing I love about Legoland is their Hero Pass.
The Hero Pass is a pass for special needs children or Adults.
If you have a child with special needs or an adult with special needs you should visit the guest services desk and get more information on the Hero Pass.
The pass allows for the child and their family to skip the lines through the exit ramp.
Towards the later part of the afternoon the ride lines became nonexistent. We were able to walk right into each ride with no wait at all and ride numerous times.
Next time we do Legoland I think I may wait till the afternoon to do the park. With proper planning I think it can defiantly be done in one afternoon.
**Mom Tip – Turn all of your LegoLand pictures into a Shutterfly photobook so you can look back on all your fun memories! When you pay for parking at Legoland Florida they give you a coupon for a FREE Shutterfly.com photobook!**

I remember going to theme parks as a kid with my family. Luckily there were just two of us kids, so my dad took me on roller coasters and my mom took my brother on the smaller rides because he was younger. I’m loving this park! It is crazy to me what they can make with legos!

I prefer to go to a theme park rather than to a simpler one, the atmosphere is so much fun. I’d ad this to my wish list. You look like you’re enjoying your visit there, the photos are great.

You guys must have had a blast. Those lego creations are just incredible, and I’m sure they required multiple to work on them.

This looks so amazing and would love love to go. Its so expensive for the flights from the UK to Florida, as we were going to book for 2019. I have recently just lost my job too, boo!! We were trying to figure out where to go as we would of been taking a 3, 4, 11 year olds. Your photos make me want to go so badly!! Great post to read.
makeamomsmile says
I see there is a Legoland in Windsor. not sure how close but may save you the flight.

Whoa whoa whoa. I had no idea this existed. My kids LOVE Legos. This would blow their minds. And my husband and I love theme parks soooo…win-win. Where is Winter Haven? We have family in South Florida so we do go there every once in a while. It’s my husband’s family so I’m not super familiar with the area…is Winter Haven south? Please say it is!
makeamomsmile says
I am in South Florida. Winter Haven is closer to Orlando. Took us a little less than 3 hours from South Florida

I can so relate with you. My kids are 7 years apart and it’s true, going to themeparks can be so much work because of the rides and activities they can participate in. But it’s always a lot of fun, right! Looks like you all had a great time and Legoland.
