While in Gatlinburg we were lucky enough to get a tour of Anakeesta!
Anakeesta is Gatlinburg’s newest family friendly attraction! Gatlinburg has so much to offer for both kids and adults. Lots of fun tourist attractions, hiking, and oh course skiing but we found Anakeesta to be a bit unique in a beautiful outdoorsy way!
Hop on the Chondola with us and see why we truly fell in love with Anakeesta!
Anakeesta offers both an open air 4 person chair and a closed 6 person Chondola. We chose to ride closed Chondola due to the cold weather. The ride up is about 8 minutes of truly beautiful scenery.
Once you get off you are in firefly village with awesome shops and even a delicious Pie shop. You must visit Pearl’s Pie Shop and grab a treat!
Firefly village also has a cozy fire pit and AMAZING views!

When planning family travel I am always looking for the best budget-friendly options when I book our schedule with activities. Anakeesta really caught my eye with the pricing! You can check out current pricing HERE (Under 3 is Free) . This price includes most of the actives at the park, zip lining is an extra fee but still a very reasonable fee for the Zip-lining. The Rail Rider is also an additional fee but again very reasonably priced.
My Oldest daughter and Dad did the zip-lining. They both got off raving about how awesome the experience was! Next time mama is going to have to get in on the zip-lining fun, that is something on my bucket list I haven’t tried yet!
**Picture was Taken during Winter which is why the trees look like this**
While they zip-lined I enjoyed the Children’s Treehouse Village Playground with the little one! The Children’s Treehouse Village Playground has a lot of fun things to do including a maze, a birds nest section and fun netted bridges. I had to basically peel her off the playground after she begged for one in our backyard. Thankfully I got away with just offering her a little hot chocolate from Pearl’s Pie Shop.
Anakeesta also has a Tree Canopy Walk. The Tree Canopy Walk is 16 sky bridges connected for a beautiful and peaceful walk through the forest. Make sure to take your time on the walk and take in all the beautiful sights of Anakeesta and The Smoky Mountains. The bridges are also a great place to watch the Zip-liners!
**In the Spring & Summer the Tree are Full of Beautiful Green Leaves**
Anakeesta also has a Voices of Gatlinburg walk and Memorial Garden. I highly suggest you walk though and read all the signs. What a beautiful and touching experience that was for each member of my family.
As of right now Anakeesta offers a BBQ Smokehouse casual dining option. The brisket and turkey come highly recommend!
As I mentioned Anakeesta is one of Gatlinburg’s newest attractions opening just a few months ago. So many more plans are in the works, such as an Apline Coaster and a new bar and restaurant. We did get to see a preview of those plans and the location. Both the dining and alpine coster will have stunning views on top of Anakeesta just like all their current activities.
**Update – The new restaurant is open as well as the rail runner coaster! Although we have not been back since these opened I have heard the views from the restaurant are AMAZING and the food is DELICIOUS**
We truly enjoyed our visit to Anakeesta!
I Highly suggest visiting Anakeesta when you visit Gatlinburg, TN!

TN is ony list of places to visit. Not sure I want to make the drive there in the winter though. I went ziplining for the first time the end of 2017 and it was fun.

Our drive was 12 hours. Wasn’t too bad. We took 2 days to get there to break the driving up. On the way back we did the 12 hours straight
