My family received complementary admission in exchange for an honest review!
The Dinosaurs are Here to invade South Florida this weekend!! Real life dinosaurs in South Florida? Well, not actual real ones since we all know they are long gone but they are the closest thing to the real ones you are going to get! These Dinosaurs move and growl just like the real things!
When we walked into Jurassic Quest I was pretty impressed by the dinosaurs. The kids were so excited to finally see what this event was all about. We did a little research online ahead of time so we had some idea of what to expect.
When you walk in there is GIANT dinosaurs moving and making all kinds of noise! Nothing was too scary for the kids at all though. I saw kids of all ages enjoying the exhibits!
After we checked out the dinosaur exhibit in the front of the building we headed over to the ride on dinosaurs. They dinosaurs move but they do not walk. Almost like one of this quarter rides outside the supermarket but on a much bigger scale. Geez I just made myself sound old with the supermarket rides, I have not seen one of those in forever. But I think you get the idea I am trying to describe!
While we were researching Jurassic Quest online we saw two things about this event that really stood out. My favorite thing was the baby dinosaur petting. They are so cute, I just couldn’t wait to get my hand on them. Their handlers hold them while you pet them them and take some really cute pictures. Watch out they may just rub up against you or even steal a headband or perhaps even your phone. They are sneaky little dino babies! The dinosaur babies are only out at certain times during the event so make sure to check the signs or the event brochure they give you as you are walking in for times.
Now the part my youngest was most excited about, the dinosaur rides! After seeing these rides online she would not stop talking about riding a dinosaur! The lines was a little long but it did move quick. If your child wants to ride these, do not let the line scare you away! A great photo-op while they are riding the dinosaurs! And the best part is for this picky mom, they sanitize the helmets in between each rider!
There were many other areas for the kids to enjoy hands on activities as well. Some of the other stations included arts and crafts, green screen pictures, bounce houses for older kids and separate bounce houses for the younger kids under two. Best part is they actually have an attendant at each one so its not a zoo scene! They also had toy truck rides, lots of yummy carnival food, a big souvenir area, fossil activities and even some adult beverages for the parents!
We really enjoyed our evening at Jurassic Quest!
